AP Psychology introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes.  The course aims to provide students with a learning experience equivalent to that of most post-secondary introductory psychology courses.  Human thoughts and behaviour are diverse, varied, and closely affected by culture.  Therefore, the field of psychology is equally broad and wide-ranging as it encompasses many subfields and specialties in a variety of settings.
