This pathway is designed to provide students with an understanding of the development of mathematics, and some of the important problems math has helped (and continues to help) solve. Topics will range from number systems to cryptography and include a range of cultures'€™ contributions to mathematics. The importance of tools and technology to the advancement of mathematics will also be noted.
